Vents are traditionally easy. The key is making them large enough to let the air out but the depth and land properly sized so that the plastic doesn’t fill the vent during fill and pack. Their purpose is to allow the plastic to push out air as the part fills. If the air cannot properly escape from the cavity the results can be knit lines, burn marks or even trapped air. Unfortunately geometry sometimes gets in the way: We might have thin complex webbing, or a rib that traps air.
