SPRUELESS

Many sales types are big on the benefits of runnerless molding.  Yup, no runner and you dramatically reduced the shot weight and cooling time.  BUT you’ve increased the shot inventory and residence time, you’ve had to put it in a bigger machine because the mold’s thickness increased, not to mention the minimum ante of about $10,000 to get into the runnerless game.  Ouch!
